Temporary Suspension of shipping to the E.U.
IMPORTANT EU SHIPPING UPDATE
Due to new EU packaging compliance requirements, I have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend shipping to most EU countries, with the exception of France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland.
If you're a valued pastposters customer based in the EU, I'm sorry to share some disappointing news.
From today, Monday 17 August 2026, I will no longer be accepting orders for delivery to most EU destinations.
I want to be clear that this is not a decision I wanted to make.
I greatly appreciate my customers across Europe, and I remain committed to serving them. However, recent EU packaging regulations require businesses like pastposters to meet new registration and compliance obligations before products can be shipped into individual EU member states.
Over the past few months, I've been working to understand exactly what these new requirements involve and how they apply to a small independent UK business. Unfortunately, until I can ensure that pastposters is fully compliant, continuing to ship to affected countries isn't a risk I can responsibly take.
As a result, from today 17/08/2026, EU shipping will be placed on hold while I work through the necessary compliance process.
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support.
What is PPWR?
PPWR stands for the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, a new set of EU rules designed to reduce packaging waste, improve recycling, and encourage the use of more sustainable packaging across Europe. [environmen....europa.eu], [eur-lex.europa.eu]
The regulation applies to businesses that sell packaged products into EU countries, including businesses based outside the EU. It introduces new requirements around packaging design, recyclability, labelling, and producer responsibility obligations. [business.gov.uk], [environmen....europa.eu]
For small independent businesses like pastposters, understanding and complying with these requirements can be complex and costly, particularly when different EU countries may have their own registration and reporting processes. Until I can be confident that I meet all the necessary obligations, I've decided to pause shipping to affected EU destinations.
This pause is purely about compliance with the new regulations and ensuring that orders can continue to be delivered correctly and legally in the future.
