CONDITION :

** This is probably a later 1960’s or early 70’s release as the distributor is printed as Gala Films which was started in 1958 by Kenneth Rive, his company was the biggest British distributor of foreign films in the 1960s and 70’s and released early classics of the French New Wave cinema. The Original 1962 distributor for this film is listed on the BBFC as MGM in 1962 though.

5 x 4 cm triangular piece torn from near the top of the right edge and there is an 8 cm tear from the inner edge of this missing piece going across into the yellow B (the tear has acid free tape on the back and some different tape staining on the front), Two 3 cm strips of Brown tape adhesive staining above and below the previously mentioned missing piece along with some light surface paper/ print loss around the top right corner, the top 6 cm area of the top right corner has browned slightly.
3 x 3 cm strip of surface paper loss/print loss within the top border (near right corner) this is due to tape removal and there are couple of small spots of Brown tape adhesive staining below, extremely tiny piece torn from the edge of this strip of print loss also, a couple of extremely tiny tears also on the top edge, 2 x 3 cm faint light Brown patch of tape adhesive staining just left of the top center, 4 x 3 cm patch of surface paper/print loss on the top left and both bottom corners (due to tape removal), 3 cm thin strip of paper loss on the tip of the top edge (left corner), small piece of Sellotape near the bottom right corner.
A couple of extremely tiny tears on the right edge, a couple of tiny tears and very mild creasing on the left edge, small faint Brown spot of tape adhesive staining just below the center of the left edge, 15 cm diagonal crease and a 13 cm diagonal crease along with some additional surface creasing above the raised knee, 25 cm horizontal crease between the center and right vertical fold lines (just above the center horizontal fold), extremely faint fine 22 cm horizontal dark print line between the left and center vertical fold lines (just above center), 10 cm faint scuff line from the M in Marcello down towards the two white stars, additional light scuffing in the black background is around the bottom
Light 15 cm vertical crease from the top edge downwards (just right of the left vertical fold line), 14 cm thin horizontal reddish print line going across the top of the left vertical fold line (within the top of the main colour image), extremely mild fold wear (creasing around some the fold intersections and some light stress marks on some the fold lines),
Otherwise very good! Rare poster! a must for Bardot collectors!
