CONDITION :

Whole poster has browned, there are several large brown stains on the back of the poster which are visible on the front (most noticeable in the bottom border but there are some faint ones around the fold intersections on the center horizontal fold line and in the area around Gable’s shoulder (click the picture of the back of the poster to get a better idea of placement), tiny piece torn from the bottom left corner, small blu-tac removal mark on both the bottom corners, 2x1cm piece torn from the bottom of the right vertical fold line and a small piece torn from the bottom of the left vertical fold line, 3cm tear at the bottom of the center vertical fold line, the bottom half of the right vertical fold line has completely torn and has been repaired from the back with white repair tape, mild fold wear (excluding the previously mentioned tear), mild edge wear on the right edge, small crease across top corners, two small edge tears on the top edge, 10 pinholes in the top left corner folded segment (mostly near the top left corner but there are a couple under “GONE”), 8 pinholes in the top right corner fold segment (again mostly near the corner but there are a couple under “WIND”), 4 pinholes near the top center and 2 near the top of the right vertical fold line, 5 pinholes near both the bottom corners and a couple near the bottom of each of the vertical fold lines, 2 pinholes near the side edge centers, Some of the pinholes have rust rings from the drawing pins and some have clean white circles around them where the drawing pins protected the paper beneath, pinhole in Leigh’s hair, despite the discoloration and staining it still has aged charm about it!

** Note some sellers have mistakenly listed a very similar design as the 1968 re-release but theirs have “Distributed by Cinema International Corporation” blue text under the Metrocolor text in the right of the bottom border, that version is a late 70’s re-release as CIC was not created until 1970 and it only partnered MGM in 1973!. The 1968 re-release (this one) does not have that text, so be sure to check that when browsing! **
